Social Policy |
Welfare rights is a vast subject area which is often defined and hampered by complex legislation and convoluted processes for requesting assistance. Sometimes policy-makers need to be made aware of the impact that new or existing legislation is having on people. Similarly decision-makers that interpret regulations need to be informed or challenged if they are getting it wrong. Consequently a key aim of Plymouth Welfare Rights Forum (PWRF) is to bring together third sector and statutory sector agencies to share non-sensitive information and to work together to resolve difficulties that arise relating to welfare rights. If you work with clients and identify issues relating to welfare rights, feel free to share this information with us. Examples could include a pattern of incorrect benefit assessments being applied or official decisions that leave clients facing severe hardship. By submitting the form below, you will be helping PWRF to identify welfare rights problems that may need urgently addressing. With supporting statistical information to hand, PWRF will be better placed to engage with the statutory sector in order to bring about changes in social policy. Please ensure that the details you have entered are correct before submitting the form. It is important that the anonymity of your client is maintained so please do not enter their personal information on this form. The information you provide will only be used for the purposes stated above. Social
